What would you like to make?

One part to test.
Or a whole batch.

01

Functional prototypes

Check shape, fit and assembly before moving forward. Tell us what needs testing and the conditions in which the part will operate.

02

Enclosures & connectors

Brackets, connectors and enclosures based on your design. Mark critical dimensions, holes and areas that meet other components.

03

Production runs

Multiple units of one design, or several models in one project. Quantity, geometry and intended use help us plan production.

The connection
between arm & tablet.

A custom adapter for a vehicle’s tablet arm, printed in Nylon 12. Holes, slots and steps follow the design to match the mounting points.

For use in a vehicle, material selection also considers cabin heat and the load on the connection.

Removing powder from an SLS part with a brush at Axelera

Depowdering & sandblasting

After printing, we extract the parts and remove excess powder. The brushing shown here is one stage of the process; sandblasting follows.

Checking dimensions

A good fit starts with clear requirements. Specify critical dimensions and areas so we can check them as part of the project.

Planning a production run?

Before sending a file

A few things
to know.

What is SLS, and when should I choose it?

SLS uses a laser to fuse polymer powder according to a 3D model. Surrounding powder supports the part during printing, allowing complex geometries without dedicated support structures. Suitability depends on the application, material and part design.

Which material do you use?

At the studio, we print SLS in Nylon 12 only. We check its suitability for the application and part requirements before production.

How large can a part be?

Our build volume is 160 × 160 × 300 mm. We check the file to confirm that the part and its print orientation fit within this volume.

What finish can I expect?

Parts are sandblasted after printing and retain the grainy texture characteristic of SLS. Painting, smoothing and additional finishes are not included.

Which files and details should I send?

Send STEP, STL, 3MF or OBJ files, with a drawing or photo if useful. Include quantity, intended use and critical dimensions. For multiple models, specify the quantity of each.

Can I start without a finished file?

Yes. Select “Start with a description” in the form and tell us what you’d like to make. You can attach a sketch or photo and discuss design and modelling with us.

What is the lead time?

Typically 3–4 business days, but this varies considerably by project. Some projects take several weeks or around a month. We confirm timing after reviewing the files, quantity and requirements. Mention any deadline when you get in touch.

What determines the price?

We quote after reviewing the file, part size, quantity and project requirements.
